Our story begins in the leafy suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Janine Allis, young mother of three, was sick of never finding anything healthy for her kids to eat or drink when she was short of time. When taking a trip to California with her husband Jeff (or "the hangbag" as she likes to call him), she noticed all of the juice bars popping up, and realised that there was nothing quite like it yet in Australia.
It hit her that this concept could really work well in Australia - so on her return, she set about creating recipes at her kitchen table, and sketching out plans of how the store would look. A few months later, the first store opened on King William Street in Adelaide, South Australia. J knew she was onto something when lines at lunchtime went out the door. From there her and Jeff managed to score a deal to open 18 stores in Westfield shopping centres across Australia... and well, the rest is history! With now over 170 stores in all states and territories (except Tasmania, we're still looking for the perfect site) in Australia, we're the largest juice and smoothie bar in the Southern Hemisphere, and in more countries than any other juice bar in the world!
